Introduction to Mindfulness

Mindfulness meditation techniques can be utilized for use in everyday waking life whilst eating, walking, or talking etc.  One can choose to become mindful and aware of the present moment rather than being consumed by thought or driven by automatic responses. If one is speaking, they can give full attention to the words spoken and to listen with presence and attention. If one is walking, they may become aware of their body movements, their feet touching the ground and the temperature upon their face.  Experiencing only the present moment. The concept of Mindfulness is to not intentionally add anything to the present human experience, but to be mindful and to observe without losing oneself in anything which may arise i.e. Thought, sensation or memory etc.
